Short circuit handling has always been one of the factors hindering the wider use of DC power and distribution in data centers, as using fuses makes it difficult to obtain the required system functionality. Therefore, in the past, data center enterprises have not experienced the advantages of using DC distribution systems.

Through the ring network, multiple distribution networks can be simultaneously powered online, achieving better stability and redundancy, and also more conducive to direct grid connection of various distributed new energy sources.
Currently, VACON ® NXP DCGuard has been used as a protection and ring network connection device for DC networks in multiple DC smart microgrid projects (low-carbon/zero carbon buildings/factories) in China.
